Chusin Setiadikara

Chusin Setiadikara, born in Bandung in 1949, is an Indonesian realist painter known for his evocative works that combine charcoal and oil techniques. He studied for a decade at Studio Barli Sasmitawinata and has lived in Bali since the late 1980s, where he finds inspiration in traditional markets and everyday life. His realism goes beyond visual precision, capturing quiet, contemplative moments with emotional and spiritual depth.
His works have been exhibited in major galleries in Indonesia and internationally, including the National Gallery of Indonesia, CP Artspace Jakarta, Washington DC, Beijing, and Tokyo. He has received several awards such as the Philip Morris ASEAN Art Awards and the Excellent Work Award at the Beijing Biennale. His work Pasar Kintamani III is part of the permanent collection of the Fukuoka Museum in Japan, and his paintings have achieved strong results at international auctions.
